Join us at the Madison Advanced Manufacturing Collaboration (MAMC) a branch of the Madison Public School District. Enrollees in this CNC Milling/Machining course will learn the industrial skills of a CNC Programer and Operator. Students who earn this nationally recognized certification, will be eligible for employment in this high demand middle class income paying career field.  Course Description: This course will expose the beginning machining student to the fundamental practices and operations of part layout, sawing, drilling, milling, turning and surface grinding. The student will begin with reviewing key print reading principles, basic shop math and basic measuring tools. Students will then be given hands on applications using files, hand drills, hand tapping, hand reaming, counterboring, countersinking and hand sawing. Students will then learn the components, safety and basic machine operations of the vertical mill, lathe and surface grinder by machining a project on each machine. This course is a blended learning class with approximately 50% of via E-learning and the remaining 50% on-site with hands on activities applying your learning under the supervision of our FANUC CNC Machinist Certified Instructors. Students have access to the E-learning curriculum for six months after activation of the course. Cost for this course is $450.00
